Treatments at the clinic

What Dr Kiran Haseeb treats.

General, restorative and cosmetic dentistry under one roof in F-10 Markaz. Diagnosis, planning and treatment all happen in the clinic, so a case is not referred out halfway through.

Dental Implants

A titanium post replaces the root of a missing tooth, then a zirconia or porcelain crown is fitted on top. Straumann and BioHorizons systems, placed and restored in the same clinic.

Orthodontic braces being checked during an adjustment appointment

Braces & Aligners

Metal braces, ceramic braces and clear aligners for crowding, spacing, rotations and bite correction. You are told honestly which appliance your case needs and how long it will take.

Root Canal Treatment

Rotary endodontics under local anaesthetic, usually completed in a single visit. The infected pulp is removed and the tooth is saved rather than extracted.

Ceramic dental crown being finished by hand in the laboratory

Crowns & Bridges

Zirconia, E-max lithium disilicate and porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, shade-matched to the teeth beside them so the repair does not announce itself.

Porcelain veneer being fitted to a front tooth during a smile makeover

Veneers & Smile Makeovers

Porcelain veneers and composite bonding, planned and previewed before any tooth is prepared. Nothing irreversible happens until you have seen the intended result.

Teeth Whitening

In-clinic whitening with a measured shade result recorded before and after. Safe on enamel, with no lasting sensitivity for most patients.

If you have been putting this off

Most of our patients were nervous about coming in.

Dental anxiety is the single biggest reason a small problem becomes an expensive one. It is treated here as a clinical issue to manage, not an inconvenience.
Your first visit

What actually happens on the day.

A first appointment takes about forty minutes. You leave knowing the diagnosis, the treatment options and what each one costs, whether or not you go ahead that day.

A digital x-ray and a full oral examination, including a soft-tissue and gum check. You see the same screen the dentist does.

Registered and accountable

Memberships and affiliations.

Dentistry in Pakistan is not evenly regulated, so it is worth knowing who a clinic answers to. These are the bodies the practice is registered with, and what each one means for you as a patient.

Islamabad Health Care Regulatory Authority

The clinic is licensed and inspected under the authority that regulates healthcare premises in the capital. Sterilisation protocol, clinical waste handling and patient record keeping are audited rather than self-declared.

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry

An active membership that keeps the practice connected to the city's medical and business community, and to the continuing professional education that comes with it.

Beyond the clinic

Teaching other dentists, and treating people who cannot pay.

How a dentist is regarded by other dentists is not something a patient can judge from the outside. Speaking at national conferences and running free outreach clinics is the closest thing to a public record.

Before you call

The questions we get asked most.

Because the word crown covers several different things. A basic metal or acrylic crown, a porcelain-fused-to-metal crown, a zirconia crown and an E-max crown are not the same product, do not last the same length of time and do not look the same. The honest way to compare quotes is to ask which material is being used, whether a lab or a chairside mill is making it, and what the warranty is if it chips. A quote that does not name the material is not a quote.

No. This is the most common dental myth in Pakistan. Scaling removes hardened calculus that has been wedged between the tooth and the gum. Once it is gone you can feel the space it was occupying, and that sensation is often mistaken for looseness. If teeth genuinely feel loose after scaling, the calculus was holding together teeth that gum disease had already loosened, and that gum disease is the thing that needs treating.

It depends entirely on the case. Simple crowding and spacing are routinely and correctly treated by a general dentist with orthodontic training. Skeletal problems, impacted canines, surgical cases and severe bite discrepancies belong with an orthodontist. You should be told which category you fall into at the assessment, before any appliance is fitted, and referred on if that is the right answer.

The implant itself can be identical, because Straumann and BioHorizons sell the same components worldwide. What varies is the planning, the surgical technique and the restoration on top. Ask which system is being used, ask to see the x-ray-based plan, and ask what happens if the implant fails. A clinic using a recognised system and able to answer all three is not doing anything a clinic abroad would do differently.

Ask to see the autoclave and ask how instruments are packaged. Properly processed instruments come out of a sealed pouch in front of you, with an indicator strip that has changed colour. This clinic is licensed and inspected by the Islamabad Health Care Regulatory Authority, which audits sterilisation protocol and clinical waste handling rather than taking a clinic’s word for it. You are welcome to ask to watch a pouch being opened.

Often, but it depends on the treatment. Crowns, veneers, root canals, extractions and whitening can usually be completed within a two to three week visit. Implants cannot: the implant needs roughly three to four months to integrate with the bone before the final crown goes on, so those are normally split across two trips. Send an x-ray or a photograph on WhatsApp before you travel and you will get a realistic schedule.

Slots are kept aside each day for pain and emergencies. Call or send a WhatsApp message describing what is happening. Abscesses, swelling, broken teeth and severe pain are prioritised, and you will be told honestly whether you need to come in now or whether it can wait.
